Airlines. Good manners and courtesy. Political leadership. Social media obsessives - it really is no way to go through life. Fruit - where are the crisp, sharp tastes of yesteryear? Why the mush that passes for mango, papaya etc and resembles baby food?
Kind, inclusive, travelled, curious, full head of hair, Arsenal supporter, forthright, openminded, excellent memory, decent taste in shoes, communicative, culturally aware. Notable ability to pack fast and light, a skill that seems to elude most people in my orbit.
I can recognisably converse in no other language than English. Tendency to look at the menu from the bottom up. Impatient. Hopelessly impractical. Utterly bereft of musical or sporting talent. Take a good book wherever I go in case the quality of conversation causes me to zone out.
